Putting mechanics at the moment are pretty good. My style is comparable to the FPO player Hailey King and so after my first practice round I'm comfortable running putts from circle 2.
Drives are another matter. The real life mechanics of a true disc golf "drive" don't transfer to the VR game. (Not asking for a full run up, x-step, pivot on right foot to throw, and follow through...) A simple one-step fwd and pivot to throw doesn't work well either. Even a stand still upshot with a wrist "snap" at the end doesn't head off at the right angle/direction. I found any rotation/movement of the headset at all (like turning away for a reachback IRL...) results in an unpredicable line of flight.
Still...fun to play when I "jump putt" without taking my eyes off of the intended angle/direction instead of trying to actually drive. Pretty good results with accuracy/distance with the midrange/drivers so far using this "style" of throw as a workable compromise just to play in VR.
I'm keeping this game on my headset and looking forward to trying out new updates. Last Disc golf VR I tried the mechanics/physics were so unreliable I just couldn't stand the disappointment/frustration. Uninstalled it so I wouldn't be tempted. Hope this helps. (^_^)
