A Discord server for this just sounds like another thing to manage. I already have school and stuff, which makes a Discord server simply another thing to deal with. But the school semester ends this week, so I may have more room to work on things.
You probably also noticed that this game hadn't been updated in a while, mostly because of school. But I may consider some kind of update later.
And yes, there is a possibility of multiplayer. But it will probably not be implemented into this specific game. To be completely straight with you, there is no free way to make a simple, easy-to-use, multiplayer system. Because I (or some other company) would have to host servers for people to be able to easily connect and play together.
You may argue that hosting my own server would not cost anything, but trust me, it does. Having only one server up would be easily overloaded by the many hundreds of people trying to play multiplayer on this game. This means I would need multiple servers, and have a lot of time and money just to set them up.
And asking some company to host the servers for me would either be Free but crappy (A limit of around 10 people before others start experiencing connection issues) or Paid. And as you also may know, I don't make any money off of this project, and last time I checked it would not be exactly legal to be making money from this project regardless. (Due to Intelectual Property / I.P. / Copyright and other legal stuff) And yes, no donations either (But prove me wrong on any of this if you can, because I have no good source of income currently.)
But there is still a free method of multiplayer. It won't be nearly as user-friendly, but I can make people set up their own server, either on the computer (Or directly on the quest) to play with their friends. This makes it so that you have to pay for your own electric bills and computers, (And not me) but requires some kind of technological genius to set up.
On the flip side, I am currently working on a different project. And no, this doesn't mean that Granny VR is less likely to update, more that it is going to be reworked in a way. Something big is coming!
But even after all the build-up, don't expect anything within these couple of months, or even this year. Because even if I did work on this "next project" basically every day, it is so big that it will still take months to get near completion. Other than that, thanks to you (And anyone else reading this) for listening to what I have to say, and enjoying my vr port! I will be getting other things done in the meantime! (With a little bit of procrastination of course, I'm not perfect.)
