As I develop I add more instructions to the "instructions pillar" that you see at the start. I'll be sure to add how to rotate objects. Which is possible by using the joystick while you have an object grabbed. This game is only a month-ish old, I'll do my best to document things clearly as I move forward.
For now for you:
Not all objects can be raised/lowered. There are 3 categories:
- floor-bound objects: like lava, waypoints, enemies etc... are bound to the floor. So you can manipulate them all you want, you just can't place them higher or lower than your actual floor.
- floating objects: axe swing, crushing block etc... these can be placed anywhere you want in space. Though they are designed to be around your ceiling.
- objects that have variants: for example Occlusion Cube + Occlusion Cube (1F). One can be moved freely around your space, up and down as well. The other is bound to your floor, for easy placement for your floor-bound IRL stuff like walls and furtinure.
