Here's my review, I guess. I wanted an accurate review here, so I played this game from 100% battery to 0% battery, and I'll say this: It IS a good game. This is a physics-based fully interactable shooter. Without further ado, let's get started.
The guns. I'd have to guess there are around 100+ guns in the game, each one unique and special in its own way. The textures are spectacular, I'm very pleased with that. Most of the guns have their own firing sound, but I'd say a good 30% of the guns have the same firing sound, which can mess up the "immersion of virtual reality." In the future, I'd like to see each gun have its own firing sound. The weaponry is extremely diverse, ranging from a 1911 pistol to M134 miniguns and RPG-7s and the holy "Chungus Missile", so how could I say no to that? The ability to grab whatever part of the gun you want gives you "Creative Liberties" to slaughter your enemies in whatever way you'd like. I'd give the guns a 9/10. Very good experience, but room for improvement.
The maps. At the time I'm writing this review, there are around 10 maps. The Warzone map is good, I'll start there. It's a good map to test out your abomination of a customized gun on the Arab. One suggestion I have is just plain shadows to be cast from static objects. If that is done, the map will look muuuch more polished. The same thing could go for all the other maps. The hunting map. I'm an outdoorsman myself, so I'll express my opinion here. It's not very good. The map is too spread out, and you would never be shooting at a buck a kilometer away. Perhaps a flat(ish) map where you have to walk around and find animals to kill. The animals are mediocre, but they don't move when shot, nor do the animals around them. When killed, they just kind of drop/implode. There are around 4 shooting ranges, but they're all really just the same map with slightly different terrain. The squid game map is a good map, I like to just whip out a machine gun and just mow down the enemy. The vehicles are an ambitious approach, and they are very rough around the edges. The zombies map is lackluster, you just sit in a big room and shoot undead. That's it. Maps, 7/10.
The AI. Not a ton to say here, excpet that the bots are well put together. They look at you when you are in their vision, they don't just keep their gun trained on you 24/7. Their weaponry could use some work though, they have the same firing sound every single time they shoot, which gets extremely repetitive. They also all use the same gun, so perhaps a bit of diversity between who has what weapons? The textures of them are very good, and it's satisfying to kill them. The AI get an 8.5/10.
If you made it to the end, thank you for reading, and I'd say this game is worth the money. It has lots of potential, and I'm excited to see where this is going. With that being said, it doesn't come without it's downs like how your hands are stuck together on startup if they're too close together. There are many small quality of life features in the game that won't mention here, that you should go check out for yourself. This game is good, keep up the good work. My final grade for this game is 8.5/10. A purchase worth it. Peace.
