Really fun game, has lots of potential! Don’t listen to trolls!
I was promising the developer I will try this game and reminded me today and was complaining about a troll leaving a dishonest negative review and it pisses me off when people do that, I have a business and know how it is. The developer is honest and what you see in the trailer and description you find in the game and you can test out the demo for free before you preorder!
I know the developer a bit cause I won a giveaway for another game. Does that make me fake? I don’t think so, this is going to be an honest detailed review! And to be real, most people who bother leaving reviews are whether people who like the game a lot and are serial reviewers, fans of the developers or frustrated people having a bad life and taking it on anything, usually kids who don’t know how to appreciate work and businesses. Other people just don’t bother with reviews.
This game is not perfect, it’s and indie game in early stages, not an AAA, but it is very good comparing to other sidequest games! And for people that don’t know how the indie games work: they first release an early stage prototype which is far from perfect, but they just want to see a feedback on the idea, and if people like it and encourage the developers, and tell what they would like to be changed, they would continue to develop it and fix every aspect you mention! Otherwise if you just complain insulting them and giving unfair ratings, the game will never become fully released, but abandoned. So of course it’s not perfect now, it doesn’t have to be, we just have to mention what issues we found and what would we like to be changed, and I know that these developer listen as they did with another game! So keep it up guys, this prototype is great, and I know you can make it a great game!
The game starts feeling like a survival game but then it gets really intense, like in a zombie apocalypse but with dinosaurs and it could get addicted, but it ends quite fast and stops your impetus, you wish the levels were longer, but I understand it is just a demo and I hope the full game will have long levels as well!
I wish kids stop complaining about graphics when they play Minecraft and fortnite. Oculus Quest is a standalone android device, if you want graphics, get a PCVR! But anyway if you try out a lot of games here on sidequest you will find the graphics for this game actually really good, especially for the nature! The nature is almost photorealistic, the dinos are not AAA but have you seen the dinos from the other games here that look like cheap Chinese costumes? The dinos in this game look really ok, they just have some issues with colliders. When you get too close to them, you might enter inside some of them, but it is mostly a distance shooting game. Also, when the dinos climb the hills, you may notice that their feet enter a bit inside the earth, but you wouldn’t focus on that when you just try to run and shoot them. There is one type of dino that looks a bit strange tho, I don’t know how it’s called.
The mechanics are ok, it is completely playable, the only bad aspect is when you want to start grabbing an weapon, if you are new to this it would be a bit hard, cause it’s not very easy, you need to grab it from the distance like using the force in star wars, when their ring changes the color. And speaking of star wars, I really love that they put lightsabers in, they are not like in star wars, but they have cool lightening effects.
Another thing that could be improved is when a lot of dinos come close to you, it gets crazy, they all roar a lot and push into each other.
I really like the effects of the guns, when you shoot bullet, bombs, electricity…this is AAA quality stuff! So these are the thing I love and things I would like to be improved, I encourage every player to mention their honest opinion too in a nice and understanding way, if you want the developers to continue working on this and make it a great full game!
