Thank you! Custom Home Mapper has had a rocky launch, but after a year and half of development I'm feeling great about the newest features in version 4. You've helped make CHM one of the top selling VR apps on itch.io. I will keep been doing my best to solve problems and listen to feedback here, on the itch forum and via email. Thanks again to everyone that has reached out, its been a wild year and there is still so much potential! Hope to see you around in the multiplayer world soon!

I recommend polishing what you have as opposed to creating more experiences. Quality over quantity.

One HUGE improvement might now be possible with Facebook releasing the AR API. That should make it WAY easier to map our your space, place objects, etc...

What would be truly next level is if the mapping tool could identify objects and make the process of replicating your home even faster and easier. That would require some computer vision features which may be available open source but I'm not sure so I'm not holding my breath. It would be amazing enough if I could choose a piece of furniture from the game's library and then point at a real life object using AR, and it would try to resize and align the virtual object!

I hear ya...

Passthrough is coming, not just for the setup (I've needed this since day 1) but it will turn many of the games into AR games as well. Been watching what people are doing with real-time mapping and object detection using ARcore and other software systems on android devices, its AMAZING but all a bit beyond my level right now.

It pains me how buggy some of the games are, especially not knowing how they will perform in all the different kinds of setups that people create. Polishing is ongoing but you're right, i haven't touched some of the old carts in a few months and really need to attack some of the core problems.
