Dr. Stephen Wittek is Assistant Professor of Shakespeare Studies at Carnegie Mellon University. He is the author of 'Shakespeare and the Cultural Politics of Conversion' (Palgrave, 2022) and 'The Media Players: Shakespeare, Middleton, Jonson, and the Idea of News' (Michigan UP, 2015). He is also co-editor of two multi-authored collections: 'Shakespeare and Virtual Reality' (Cambridge, 2021) and 'Performing Conversion: Cities, Theatre, and Early Modern Transformations.' Since 2017, he has been the director of the Shakespeare-VR project, a multi-disciplinary endeavor that uses virtual reality to introduce students to the spaces and practices of Shakespearean drama.
