The idtech 4 engine that powers Doom 3 is creating marvelous lighting effects that are arguably unmatched on standalone VR. That all is rendered at 1720x1720 pixel per eye (SS 1.2) - Around 20% higher than the default per eye resolution most Quest 2 games use. The result are demons, gore and special effects rendered as sharp as an imps claw ;)
