Firmware v76.1020 no more install from unknown sources and package installer crashes

Yesterday the latest version v76.1021 has been installed on my Meta Quest 3 In the settings the option "unknown sources" to install APK's is gone. Also when trying to install an APK the package installer starts but when choosing install, nothing happens, the package installer screen just goes blank and clicking it ends it.

Is this the new way for Meta to stop us from sideloading an APK from an unknown source? Does anybody have this update but still can use the unknown sources setting?

I do have the Unknown sources in the app bar and some previously installed ones through unknown sources still work, however not all of them though.

Can anybody elaborate if this is now the new normal for the Meta Quest 3? Or perhaps another way to install an APK?

You've never been able to install APKs with SideQuest from inside the headset. Please use the Advanced Installer from here. https://sdq.st/download

For any other apps or methods you are using, we cannot provide support for.

To tell you, I have a program called "mobile VR station" installed from the meta store and with that I could install APK's which I Had locally on the quest in my download folder. So No Sidequest necessary. (you can find the how to on Youtube) And before I got the new update there was a setting for unknown sources under general on the quest 3 (it's even still there in the PC app) But it's gone on the quest 3 after the new update.

I would like to try factory reset my Quest, but before that I would like to know if The "Unknown sources" still exists with the new update, otherwise I rather keep the current because I have some programs on it which are not available on the Meta store.

You suggested the Advanced Installer from here. https://sdq.st/download, will I be able to install APK's from "unknown sources" with it?

I can't help with issues relating to mobile VR station sorry. This is only for SideQuest software and platform issues.

As I mentioned previously, you can only install APK on a PC with the Advanced installer from here https://sdq.st/download

Unknown sources is still there on v76
