i have tried and double checked my usb cord (i know its not this cord as ive gone through 5) i have reset my computer, and the headset, ive turned dev mode on and off. ive uninstalled and reinstalled the app for the pc version and nothing is bringing up any pop up. no debug popup nothing. i am lost and ive tried all FAQ ideas, except for getting and android phone which i dont have access to.
Try installing "Meta Quest Link". I tried for 2 hours to get it to work last night. This morning I tried, again. Tried all the Sidequest recommendations aside from factory reset. Once I opened "Meta Quest Link" and it found my device, my head set made two notification sounds. And the two prompts came up. Sidequest now sees the device as authorized.
It could be that your Quest port is faulty or dirty, the PC might have driver issues, or all five cables are faulty; buy a new one to be sure.
The issues stem from something outside of SideQuest's control, such as your Quest, your PC, the ports of either cable, and your account.
I've run into the same issues where you can't authorise the device, and every time, I've solved them using the FAQ. I've been doing this for a fair few years now.
You would also have the same issues using Meta Quest Develpoer Hub, here https://app.webadb.com/file-manager?path=%2F and ScrCpy, as they all need the same USB debugging.
Sideloading and USB debugging with dev mode isn't exclusive to SideQuest, so be sure to ask Meta Support also.
Try ALL of the FAQs again. Get an Android phone or Chromebook from a family member or friend, or go to your library to use the PC's there.
