Developer Mode Verification

I am talking on behalf of a client. Meta is preventing developer mode on their Meta Quest Headset.

My client advises that as of a week ago 1st Feb 2025 that they need to prove they are a business in order to enable Developer Mode to facilitate using Sidequest.

As they are not a business they are understandably, not willing or able to fabricate that fact.

Meta require identification such as drivers license and passport to be submitted along with this proof of business such as Business Registration

Can you please either confirm this is now the case?

My clients use Sidequest for the only purpose of installing my applications available through my website or SideQuestVr.

I would also like to note, the client has sent the the image below - it is Titled Quest for Business private app verification. This might indicate that she has a "Quest for Business" could it be related to the client purchasing the Quest as a business rather than an individual?

If so, are you aware of a resolution the client can take?

Your help would be greatly appreciated.

As it says in the screenshot, this is only for app verification, you're not adding apps or selling them on the Meta store.

This is not needed only to turn on debugging mode.

Please get in contact with Meta support if you need extra confirmation. Debugging mode/sideload isn't something exclusive to SideQuest; you're able to turn this feature on to be able to develop and test your own apps, change settings in the headset and so on, without us.

You only need to enable 2FA and add a credit/ debit card.
