I've been using android file transfer on my Mac, but what is the alternative to this, what is the sidequest official way forward?

You can select USB file transfer in the headset without SideQuest open or use Advanced Installer from here: https://sdq.st/download

You can also turn the Quest into an MTP device with Advanced Installer too from the settings page.

Advanced Installerh is already installed. What I want to know is what should Mac users use as an alternative app now that android file transfer is no longer supported. if I use Wireless Connection, do I need android file transfer?

Be sure you've got the correct Advance Installer for your chipset. x86 and M chip are two different versions. https://sdq.st/download

Our QA staff on the MAC have been able to transfer a file from the Quest to the MAC and vice versa. We are SideQuest, and our app works fine.

Can you record your screen and take screenshots of what you're doing in the Advanced installer? Copy what errors you see.

As I mentioned before, you don't need SideQuest to transfer files from a Quest to your MAC.

Thank you for your time. Currently, the android file transfer is working fine. What I wanted to know was what would change to android file transfer in case it is no longer available in the future.
