Not being able to find device on sidequest

When I customize all of the settings for the bit rate and the graphics and all of that it works fine until I shut my oculus 3 off then all the settings reset and it says that it cannot find a device please try again. I can't find a way to fix this someone please help.

Install the in-VR app to the headset instead and use that to change the settings if you're having trouble connecting to the PC app: https://sdq.st/sdownload . To prevent the settings from getting reset, don't power off the headset, just tap the power button once and leave it plugged in. ADB settings reset on reboots, that's just how it is with all Android devices.

talk to me like im stupid.. i have the same problem. when i first set up sidequest on my headset it worked fine, i was able to change settings etc. Now, i can still install apps but when i try to change settings im told the app cant connect to device. What do u mean by the 'in-VR app'? I dont have access to a PC, i set up initially using my android phone. Pls can u explain as simple as possible for me. Thx

The in-VR app can be found here: https://sdq.st/download (use the web installer on a Chrome browser). Once installed, you won't need to worry about faulty USB cables again.

You most likely have a faulty USB cable or have two accounts on the Quest causing issues.
