I would like to make changes in DevideSetting on SideQuest installed on Quest 3. I run Enable WiFi ADB in DevideSetting and can confirm that Wifi ADB is enabled. However, when I actually make changes in DeviceSetting, it displays the message "Cannot connect to device, try again." I have done the same thing before and was able to change DeviceSetting using only Quest 3. What is the solution?
Hi,
Uninstall the app and reinstall it from the Get SideQuest page.
Once installed, hit the WiFi icon and confirm the USB debugging prompt, then the settings should work. If now, toggle debug mode in the Meta Quest app.
All the best!
I press the WiFi icon to check the USB debugging prompt, and the settings work and it says "Wifi ADB is enabled". However, when I try to change the capture size in DeviceSetting, for example, I get the message "Cannot connect to device, try again." and I can't make the change.
Did you try:
- To reinstall the app.
- Toggle debug mode on the Meta Quest app.
- Be sure you're not on a secondary account; delete it to prevent conflict.
- Restarting the headset.
Yes I reinstalled it. This is the DeviceSetting application version 1.38. There are no secondary accounts. The headset has been restarted.
When I run Enable WiFi ADB on SideQuest on Quest3, I am asked for permission to enable debug mode and I can confirm that "Wifi ADB is enabled" by granting permission. But I actually make changes in DeviceSetting on SideQuest on Quest3, it displays the message "Cannot connect to device, try again."
If I connect SideQuset on my PC via USB and enabled Wifi ADB, so I could change the Device Settings with SideQuest on Quest 3 even when I shut down my PC.
Okay. I had the same issue as you.
I can confirm that uninstalling and reinstalling it from the https://sdq.st/download will make it work again.
If this still doesn't work, I can only recommend a Factory Reset.
