Every day I check your website App Lab "New" listings, assuming that I am seeing "everything" new. While doing searches in the Quest Store, where they display alot of random apps, I noticed that there was a huge number of App Lab apps that have never appeared in the Sidequest App Lab section. You should probably mention that not everything is included.
Hi, not everything gets grabbed instantly - all the time - for various reasons from AppLab. If you see a game not on our listing, you can add it by using this link. https://sidequestvr.com/suggest-app
We're working to improve how it updates behind the scenes constantly.
Thanks for your patience.
By searching random words on the Quest Store this morning I added over 100 "interesting" AppLab apps to my Library and passed on several hundred that looked dreadful. I should have seen all of these in your AppLab section in recent months but I didn't. I can understand why you would curate-out the hundreds of gorilla-tag clones, but there is alot of innovative, strange and fairly good stuff that apparently isn't beeing seen by anybody. I have the impression that unless someone already knows the precise title of an AppLab app to search in the Store, the ONLY way anyone would be aware of new apps is thru Sidequest. Seems like alot of apps might be randomly falling thru the cracks in the system. I feel bad for the developers who accidentally get no visibility/sales. Meta is supposedly going to add an actual AppLab tab to the Quest Store, but we don't know when or how that will be indexed. Meanwhile, seems like a serious problem.
Thanks for this, I agree this is a problem. We are working to resolve this asap.
If you do have a list of links please dump them here and we will add them right away.
Somehow I had assumed that Meta had a simple "Master List" of AppLab apps, and that Sidequest checked the list every day to see what had been added. It sounds somewhat haphazard that "not everything gets grabbed instantly - all the time - for various reasons". Until you establish a simple, all-inclusive handoff from Meta, I guess you will have to hit-and-miss find "some" of the omissions like I have (and will continue to do) thru random word searches in the Store! I continue to be shocked that I added another 100 apps to my Library today that I had never seen in your "New" listings. If the Quest Store implements the new AppLab tab soon, it hopefully will actually include "all" the apps, and allow us to differentiate the newer aps from the thousands of older ones (instead of just an alphabetized list).
The App Lab tab appeared in the Quest Store today, but initially has a very limited random selection in several categories. Looks like we will have to continue to utilize the "New" section in Sidequest, supplemented by random-word Store searches, until the Store allows indexing of "all" the App Lab apps. Please continue to try to close the Sidequest hole that currently omits many hundreds of App Lab apps.
