Can't get installer to recognize the device

I have USB enabled everywhere. Developer mode setup. Tried both USB-C and C-C cables. I have only C for my computer. Tried the dongles (yes, I aged myself with that one) and directly to the computer. I only get "no compatible device found." I have Quest 2. I looked in the forums and found one with a removed response to it from a year or so ago.

What am I missing?

Okay, I'm going to leave this here just in case others have the same issue. I have a Dell XPS. You have to play around with the right port AND I, also, have the extended battery. I had to move the c to the main headset slot not the extended batter slot. Those two things PLUS installing the OCULUS app for PC connection helped tremendously.
