Unauthorized: Allow in headset

SOLVED | I've followed all the steps for my quest 3, But now when I plug my quest in, it says unauthorized: allow in headset. So i put my headset on and try to see if the pop up is there. There's nothing. I've tried using different cables, still nothing. All that pops up is allow file access and quest link. I originally turned quest link off to see if that changed anything but it didnt. I've restarted my headset several times, no changes.

Developer settings are on in my headset as well.

On Headset go to settings - system - for developers - allow checkbox "MTP Notifications". Reboot headset. Connect USB Cable. Allow USB debug.

Hello there,

Try restarting your headset and switching dev mode off and on.

A defective USB cable could be the culprit. Experiment with other cables you possess or borrow one before purchasing a new one. Try different USB ports and flip the Type-C end 180 degrees.

Re-verifying their developer account (using a credit card instead of a phone number), toggling dev mode, and factory resetting have worked for some users.

If possible, use another PC or the SideQuest app from the Android play store for testing.

I've tried all of these. Except for reverifying my dev account. But I actually use the developer account so I don't see why that should be an issue. There also seems to be an issue in the app with connection to the headset. It's constantly connecting and disconnecting and it was a pain to even get developer mode on because headset settings was only available for a few seconds. I may try Mobile sidequest later today and if that doesn't work I'll have to Reset to factory settings. I have a lot of data on it though so I'd like to figure it out before I have to do that. Moving it over is a pain.

Got mine to work using a black usb cord can't remember if it the one that came with my phone or a cheap aftermarket. It did not like working USBC to USBC port it want USBC to regular usb port

Tried several different USB cables. All were different. C to C, USB to USB. And Flipping it and restarting my headset multiple times.

Have you tried:

Restarting the PC and headset.
A new USB cable.
Different PC.
Android App from https://sdq.st/mobile
This unofficial method https://sdq.st/thisisfine
Toggling debug mode in the Meta Quest app.
Make sure you're on the Quest main admin account.

Be sure to try all of these.

I too am having this same problem says everything is good to go and green except still unauthorized : Quest Detected Dev Mode Enabled ADB Detected Not Authorized.

Update. Sidequest finally worked after Reseting my headset to factory default. Frustrating process but it works now.
