Quest 3 headset not detected in SideQuest on Mac

I can’t get my oculus quest 3 to be recognized by side quest using my Mac. I previously had the quest 2 and had no problems connecting. I’ve gone through all of the set up instructions and everything looks appropriate, but I never get the message in the headset asking for permission to turn debugging on and side quest never recognizes my headset. Thoughts? Questions? Comments? Thanks.

Hello, and thank you for the suggestion. Unfortunately swapping out the USB cable does not solve the issue. Let me know if you have any other suggestions. Thanks.

Hello there,

You might be dealing with a faulty USB cable. Test with other cables you have on hand, or borrow one if possible, before considering a new purchase. Don't forget to experiment with different USB ports and rotating the Type-C end 180 degrees.

Should you momentarily establish a USB connection, switch to 'Enable wireless mode' in the SideQuest app.

For future convenience, consider using the easy installer to directly install SideQuest on your headset once you find a working cable.
