Hello everyone, rather gutted I have a week off work thought I would smash out some gaming. I previously could connect just fine to side quest, when I try last night it just says connecting and is stuck I have tired different usbs disabling antivirus and resetting nothing seems to work
Hello there,
You might be dealing with a faulty USB cable. Test with other cables you have on hand, or borrow one if possible, before considering a new purchase. Don't forget to experiment with different USB ports and rotating the Type-C end 180 degrees.
Should you momentarily establish a USB connection, switch to 'Enable wireless mode' in the SideQuest app.
For future convenience, consider using the easy installer to directly install SideQuest on your headset once you find a working cable.
We hope this resolves your issue. Keep us updated on your progress!
Best of luck on your journey, traveller!
Same thing is happening to me!!! I've spent hours!-- I am trying to download a game(I'm the developer)- to my friends Quest 2- thinking it would be easy-- NOthing works-
Are you using the PC app or the in-VR app?
Does your headset show as connected?
Do you see any errors?
Thanks Bob I appreciate the time. I have tired multiple usb cables including brand new ones out of the box. Perhaps it could be I need to reset developer mode or soemthing. I do not get a message to debug usb either so potentially your right it is the usbs however I then do not know what else I can try as I say I have tried 5 different cables now and the headset does charge when connected leading me to think the connection is sufficient. Side quest also seems to say ‘connecting’ even if the headset is not connected. I have tried to reinstall multiple times turned off pc and quest nothing works
No probs. Troubleshooting what I've said is the only way to solve it, unfortunately. Be sure you're on the main Quest account on the headset, too.
Factory resets have been known to help in some situations, as well as toggling dev mode off and back on again.
