Sidequest update 10.38 crashing constantly on file transfer MacOS

I have updated Sidequest to 10.38, on Mac OS Monterrey 12.3.1 On the headset I have allowed USB access by this computer (every time) to this headset. It did take several clicks (like 20) of the "always for this computer" button, before the dialogue went away. I navigate to my folders, start a file upload (large, 36GB, plenty of space on headset) and after uploading for a while, it says task completed with less than 10% of file loaded, and the Sidequest crashes.

Anyone have similar issues on Mac? Any suggestions?

I’m experiencing something similar with my Mac. I’ve found that I’m fine transferring movies that are around 2-3GB just fine but with larger ones around 7GB or greater and it crashes.

In the worst case, switch MTP mode on in the tools of SideQuest and the Quest will be a mass storage device in the file explorer of the PC.

Uninstall the app completely and redownload/install the app again from fresh. https://sdq.st/download

Let me know how you get on.

On a side note, it may also be a faulty USB causing the crash.

Hello there.. it did in fact turn out to be the usb 🤣 the last thing I checked because such a new cable. Much ado about nothing… thanks for your input!

Thanks BOBWORKS Have reinstalled and rebooted both computer (MacBook pro) and Sidequest. Result is that headset access is not authorised. Receive prompt to allow in headset, however, in headset the "allow USB debugging" window comes up, and returned every time I hit any of the three buttons on it (cancel; allow; always allow this computer). I received the acknowledgement of connection status in sidequest is not authorized, have followed all suggested solutions without success, and the prompt recommends reaching out to support when solution options not successful.

I do not have antivirus software. Is it possible MacOS is enacting a security feature which is inhibiting connection? If I press allow numerous times on the "allow usb debugging" dialogue window, like twenty or so, I have a temporary connection, and was able to download a smaller file to headset, but it is unstable, with "allow usb debugging dialogue" popping up again.

Very odd. Any suggestions welcome. have used for a year without this issue
