What should we use communities for?

In the next version of communities I want to have the concept of post categories, to give more purpose to what the posts are for. The next version will include different post /post list layouts configurable to suit the content type, like closer to a list for developer news posts and possibly more a card view for user generated posts. I want to hear your thoughts on what we can use a feed of posts for on SideQuest. Please let me know in the comments!

Having the feed accessible from the main section would be handy, so you don't have to check each community you are subscribed too. You can do straight to a category, like info, or major update, or tutorial. I'd love a place where I can see all the BTS from devs easily.

One thing that has come up a few times is Feature Upvoting. It makes sense and it should have a layout similar to featureupvote.com like this: https://pavlovvr.featureupvote.com/
