Is it possible to use virtual desktop on a low end laptop (hear me out)

I want to make a video of playing vr on low end pcs, but oculus software wont even recognize my headset, and i want to know if i can use steam vr with virtual desktop, even with lag.

If your computer is that weak then, no, you won't be able to use it. Laptops in general can't really handle VR very well, and low-end laptops in particular are not well suited to the task. That's especially true if you plan to record it... which would just place additional strain on the already overburdened laptop GPU.
