Not Authorized on install

I've completed the install process so I have green lights on "Quest Detected", "Dev Mode Enabled", and "ADB Detected", but a red light on "Not Authorized". I've uninstalled and reinstalled sidequest, rebooted the Quest 2 and my computer, Made sure my antivirus isn't Blocking anything, Tried different USB cables including the link cable. I had it installed before and my Quest 2 crashed and had to be factory reset. Now I cant get past "Not Authorized". Not sure what to do next..

I connected the headset to my phone using USB C to USB C and downloaded the sidequest app from my phone browers. That what my workaround was. Still getting not authorized when plugged I to my computer.

On Headset go to settings - system - for developers - allow checkbox "MTP Notifications". Reboot headset. Connect USB Cable. Allow USB debug.

Hello there,

It might be worth restarting your headset, also disabling and re-enabling dev mode.

You may also have a faulty USB cable. Try a few spare cables you may have or if possible, borrow one just to be sure before potentially buying a new one. Also try using different USB ports as well as flipping the type C end around 180 degrees.

In some cases users have had to re-verify their developer account too ( by adding a credit card rather than a phone number ). In some cases toggling dev mode and factory resetting has also helped.

If possible, try using another PC from a friend or family member too and try the SideQuest app from the play store on Android.
