When you change settings in SideQuest like texture resolution or the refresh rate for example, all it's doing is changing some hidden switches in the background. Once you've selected what you want to change, a multiple of things could alter these settings after the fact. The headset OS or even the game once loaded could effect the settings you've tried to change back to default.

TLDR, we can't guarantee the settings you change will be locked in, we only give you ability to change them.
