On Windows 11, I was able to get the Oculus ADB drivers to install and Sidequest to recognize my Quest 2 right away, (no added hacks) by disabling Secure Boot in my uEFI settings.

This basically removes a solid layer of root-kit protection from your machine, so I can’t recommend doing it without taking other precautions. Dedicate the PC to VR and gaming, do all social/email/web surfing elsewhere, and I shouldn’t have to say it, but no keygens etc. running on it.

Hopefully this provides a clue as to what’s actually going on at least- I think the solution might be as simple as Meta getting their drivers signed by Microsoft.

I’ve had a lot of USB device problems on Win 11 - ADB, Kinect, a USB sound card that worked before the upgrade.

Yesterday, I was trying to repair my Oculus home/airlink/store software on my PC to get the Rift home environment to load and it just plain failed and I couldn’t get it reinstalled no matter how clean I tried it. I stumbled upon the Secure Boot suggestion on a forum somewhere, disabled it, and the install worked right away.

I tried every workaround for Sidequest/Windows 11 that I could find for an entire weekend in December. This just worked. My 5.1 surround works again… the Kinect is next.
