I turned on my quest today to find that the date was 2037 and the time was 6 hours off too. Also, I can't connect to wi-fi and I assume it's because the date and time are incorrect. I have read that there is a way to use Sidequest TV to go into there and change the date and time settings, but I don't know how to find sidequest tv. Can anyone point me in the right direction to fix this without factory resetting the Quest? Thanks, Robin
So this is tricky. Here is a comment from a Reddit thread about fixing the date/time:
nvm I got it working, I just installed app starter using their apk then in the app I went to the Settings tab then ticked Show System Apps. Then I went to the Apps tab and clicked on the app called Settings, with the gear icon, then I scrolled down clicked on system clicked on date and time and ticked "use network-provided time". like seriously Facebook your a multi billion dollar company and you cant add a simple date and time feature?
Anyway, I have added app starter to SideQuest. If you want to give it a shot here it is:

Please let us know if this works, if so you might be helping others too.

I can't get it to work, when I launch the app starter, the screen is just a blank box with nothing. Any other ideas?
When I try to change the date I get this message:
Error: Command failed : "C:/users/thero/AppData/Roaming/SideQuest/platform-tools/adb.exe 1PASH9B27L0222 shell date012417052022 date: cannot set date: Operation not permitted"
Did I do something incorrectly?
