Issue with host file on mac

Upon opening sidequest for the first time it says there may be a problem with my host file. I've never tampered with this before. I've looked up how to reset my host file but it involves deleting and copying and pasting code. I don't want to risk this and possibly screw my computer. Is there a workaround to this? Sidequest still opens but its not seeing my oculus quest 2

Unfortunately not. All we can advise at this stage is to take to an IT professional or try with another computer if you have one.
