"Apps from unknown sources" folder has disappeared & Desktop SideQuest no longer "sees' my headset

Hi,

I have a first-generation Quest headset. My developer account is fully verified (credit card & mobile number). The folder with my non-AppLab sideloaded apps ("from unknown sources") no longer shows up in the headset (AppLab apps do show up on the main app homescreen) and the Sidequest desktop client no longer recognizes my headset.

On the Oculus app, Developer Mode was turned off. I turned it back on and restarted the headset. No luck. I deleted and reinstalled the app and (presuming dev mode should appear in "account settings") it's no longer showing as an option.

I'm not a very technical user & wary of initiating a factory re-set.... suggestions on what to do next?

Hi there,

It sounds like you have tried all the suggestions we could make. Unfortunately this is as bug on the Oculus end and not something we can help with. We have been advised by Oculus to get you to contact their support directly, they will likely ask you to factory reset.
