Oculus quest 2 not getting detected

Yesterday I was installing bmbf, when I finished downloading I saw it was on the wrong version so I uninstalled it and restarted the headset, after that I tried to download it again on the correct version.

Sidequest was saying it got installed but it was not showing on unknown sources so I just didn't understand and closed the headset.

Today I opened it again and saw that unknown sources isn't even on there anymore, and sidequest / adb wasn't detecting the headset

I tried doing factory reset and it didn't work, I tried with another PC and cable and it didn't work too.

Now when I check the oculus app the developer mode section don't even show but on the headset I can see it's enabled.

I tried this too https://sidequestvr.com/community/142/p/54947/never-had-detecting-problem-before-until-now but it didn't work as I already have developer mode enabled.

Is there anything I could do? Oculus support can't do anything about it as adb is a third-party software.

Hello, I had similar problems and I fixed most of them. I couldn't connect via usb-c to the headset and unknown origin was hidden. I managed to re-enable unknown origin and access the headset via adb over WiFi, I'm still having problems with the cable but I don't care for now, I'll sort it another time (everything works).

Now Oculus works with Oculus app via Wireless Link, works with sidequest via-adb-over-wifi and unknown origin is now re-enabled.

I'll try to make it short, those are the steps I did, in the end Developer hub Tool did the final trick for me:

re-validated the oculus developer account - look up your FB email, the one you used to enable your dev profile. You probably got a very recent mail that ask you to do this.
I tried to disable/enable unknown origin from the desktop app using Wifi Link (settings, general, uknwn origins toggle)
installed Oculus Developer Hub Tool and paired the device
in the settings, I re-enabled uknwn origin and enabled ADB-via-wifi
also, I randomly restarted the device between some of the steps lol

In my case it looked like uknwn was still active, but apparently, it was not, or not entirely.
Can u connect ur device to the quest app, oculus hub, and sidequest (wired OR wireless)?
You should make sure that you can see the device from sidequest.
