I cannot connect Sidequest to PC

Hello I cannot connect Sidequest to PC. The first 3 dots (quest detected, dev mode enabled and ADB detected) are green. The only red dot, which remains is "Device authorized". I allow all permissions inside the headset when asked. The "Device authorized" dot goes green for several seconds, then turns back red. I have tried all usb ports and several different USB cables, but without success. Oculus link works normally and I can play PC games while connected with USB cable to my PC. Must the Windows Oculus app be open on background while I connect to Sidequest?

Any ideas are welcome...

Hello there,

Is the prompt inside the headset to allow files, or to authorize ADB?

The prompt is to authorize access to files. Sometimes it has 3 buttons (Allow, Deny, Deny always). Sometimes it has 2 buttons (Allow, Deny). I do not know on what this depends. I always answer "Allow"

It needs to be for ADB, so that means your cable/ port could potentially be faulty.

Try a new cable and see how it goes. If it's a new type C to type C cable and it still doesn't work, try a type A to type C.

all cables which are try are USB-A to type C cable. all ports are USB 2.0

If the cable works as it should, then you'll see an ADB authorization prompt.

Try a few different cables and ports.
