Please help me with some overview to get my kid's Christmas gift setup the 'right' way!

Hi. I'm new to all of this. Kid just got a Meta Quest 2 and we were starting to go through the signup when it occurred to me that we might pass a point of no return.

I understand in general what Sidequest is and will allow us to do, so I don't want to do something with the setup that ruins that.
The headset warns that it is intended for 13+. My kid is 11. So I started to wonder if we should use his account, my account, or a dedicated newly created account.
Down the road, if we want to sell the set with games installed, I don't want to have to worry about someone having my account details.

So basically I'm looking for "best practices" in terms of setting the thing up and having it ready to go for sidequest without restrictions, etc.

Hey! So there is no point of no return really. The quest can always be factory reset bringing you back to the start if something goes wrong - you should also do this if you sell the device which would remove your account info from it.

If your child is underage they should be very careful with the device. Some games on the meta store are free and essentially amount to porn ( VRChat ) but you can use parental controls to be able to turn those apps off.
