No authorization

Hey guys Im new to the Quest scene and I'm trying to download sidequest onto my Oculus I was able to get a green light on everything else but once I plug my Oculus into my PC and go click all access to files on the oculus the dialog box will just go away after clicking allow. So theres the issue is it is still showing no authorization even after allowing access on the Oculus. Anyone have any suggestions ?

Hello there,

It sounds like you may have a faulty USB cable. Try a few spare cables you may have or if possible, borrow one just to be sure before potentially buying a new one. Also, try using different USB ports and flipping the type C end around 180 degrees.

If you’re able to get a USB connection even for just a moment, use the ‘Enable wireless mode’ in the SideQuest app.

I would recommend using the easy installer next time you find a working cable and put Sidequest straight onto the headset.

I'm still having issues. I've gone through 3 cables, 2 of them being brand new. As soon as I accept it immediately disconnects.

If it's not an ADB authorization prompt in the headset then dev mode is not enabled.

Is dev mode enabled in the meta quest app?

It was. I got it figured out, I had to restart the Sidequest after turning on the Dev mode. Thank you!
