I had a game that got stuck downloading. I factory reset my machine because I also had apps that would not uninstall. I did a factory reset but immediately had the same problem. Apps still won't uninstall. I see there is a fix but I do not have access to a computer to try the fix. Any Suggestions or advice?
Hello there,
What game are you having trouble installing?
Is it happening with other games?
What fix are you also referring to?
Many thanks.
Thank you for replying to my situation
Pokerstars VR is the game I was having a problem updating.
I had a bad Internet connection and the update froze half way leaving the game in the queue. Making me unable to download or update anything else so it effected other games as well.
The fix I'm referring to is. I read on a forum other people had this problem and they used Side Quest on their computer to delete the cache of a function/app and they had a solution instead of Factory Resetting their device.
Again thank you for replying. I don't know the function/App of the app they cleared the cache of. I'd have to revisit the forum.
A Factory Reset did solve problem but I lost all my save data. Also I was unable to delete apps either.
But I was wrong a factory reset did solve the solution. It took a while but after trying 2 or 3 times I was able to delete things installed under unknown sources and I was able to get to a decent connection to download most of my games back. I lost all my save data and I have to start games like Bonelab and Red Matter 2 all over again.
I was trying to update Pokerstars VR but my Internet connection was poor. It got stuck it wouldn't uninstall and I couldn't download any other game because Pokerstars was stuck in my queue. I tried to uninstall games and that didn't work either. I wanted to make room for TWD SS Chp 2 by deleting things I didn't play as much such as Liminal. I'm not at home so my connection was bad and it's like it froze all of Quest 2 main functions. I could still play games but that was the extent of what I could do. I read on a forum you could use Side Quest if you had a computer that you could delete the cache of a function inside the headset and that would fix things but I did not have access to a computer.
