Sidequest app opens Meta Browser

When I try to download a game within the sidequest app for example Gorilla Tag . When I press the button "Download App"(oculus) it opens up the Meta Browser but the link isn't working. Sidequest games works perfect. It supposed to open the Meta store according to clips about this that I have seen. How do I direct the link to the store?

It works if I login to sidequests with my phone and chose the game from there..then it opens up the MetaApp and from there I can add it to my library..when you start the headset it appears and starts to download.

When you open the side quest app in the headset, first thing you want to do is move it to multi window by holding trigger on the white bar under the window and dragging up slightly. Once you've done that, click and hold the bottom on the window and drag it to end of the dark rectangle that appears, then try again with the applab download.

There should be a video in the side quest app showing you how to do this.

Thank you I have done that .. exactly like the video shows but the new window that opens when I try to download for example Gorilla Tag from oculus is the meta browser and not the store...that's my problem

I've experienced what you come across. The link from SideQuest opens the meta browser which in turn should open the oculus store page. Once I did the multi-window view, it fixed the issue. But your not able to get this to be the case. For now, simply go to Gorilla tag on SideQuest via your phone browser, then it should redirect you to the Oculus app to add the game to your library where you can download it from inside the headset.

Hi Bob... I did the multi view window as well but it didn't change the behaviour. Just got a popup browser window which never resolves into anything when in reality the app store should pop up.
