Possible to play PC games without Steam VR ?

Is it possible to play PC games (example DCS / FS2020 or even Google earth), wifi connected without installing the steam VR ?

For example try to launch Half-Life: Alyx without SteamVR :)

Not for free that I'm aware of. You can pay for a Cloud PC service like Shadow PC. And stream games via an app on SQ directly to the headset. But you need to have a good download speed 100Mb recommended and a wifi 6 router. I believe there are a couple cloud PC services out there to look at. But they are all fairly new. I do know someone that has ShadowPC and it works good for him.
