Do you remember the old days of gaming magazines with free demo discs included? That’s some heady nostalgia. Number 3 : Project Demigod
In 3 words : Superpowered, Customizable, Sandbox
Become a superhero in VR. Need I say more?

Of course I’ll say more. Project Demigod is a physics-driven sandbox world filled with wacky enemies (from ninjas to dinosaurs—yes, dinosaurs) to battle and cool powers to experiment with. There’s a good amount of customization to get to grips with, meaning you can power yourself up in a huge range of ways and create the superhero you like!

Some powers focus more on movement, while others turn you into a melee powerhouse. There are also weapons to bring into the mix! The full game is now on the Official Store, so the demo is your perfect chance to quickly don your cape (and spandex?) and see if Project Demigod is for you!

Number 2 : Slink & Snatch: Prologue DEMO
In 3 words : Sneaky, Quirky, Exciting
Sneaky thief games are a lot of fun in VR and Slink and Snatch is one to watch.

Armed with a talking demon glove that’s also a grappling hook—and a magnet for shiny loot—you’ll need to dodge enemies, zip about the levels, collect valuable items, and generally enjoy the detailed world on show here. Several of us at SideQuest think it channels similar quirky energy to Sly Raccoon, and I have to agree.

The full game isn’t out yet—just the demo—but give it a try and join the hype train steaming towards the full release.

Number 1 : Stilt
In 3 words : Wacky, Bouncy, Adventurous
Stilt is really weird. And I like that.

It takes the bounding locomotion of Gorilla Tag and ups the ante by effectively giving you springs for arms. And from there, your mission is to make your way back to your spaceship that’s been stolen. By a giant octopus. Who lives in a volcano? I said it was weird.

There’s a fun mixture of platforming, puzzling, and some simple combat to enjoy here. So, the demo is the perfect chance to spring into action (literally) and see if you love this wacky blend!
