This application is a demo version in the framework of the European research project Interreg NOMADe. The objective of this research is to use virtual reality (VR) to propose an improved VR version of the so-called 'DidRen' clinical test. This test aims to assess cervical mobility using a laser beam target pointing system, with the beam being moved by neck rotations.
In this test, the patient sits on a chair and faces three targets at a certain distance, which he or she must aim at with the laser pointer, one after the other. The distance between the targets is such that in order to move from one to the other, the neck must be rotated by 30° (default). In order to move to the next target, the pointer must remain in the centre of the target for a certain amount of time called the validation time (0.8 [s] by default). There are 5 cycles (default) and the order of a cycle is: centre, left, centre, right, centre. The test should be performed as quickly as possible.
All main parameters can be modified : number of cycle, validation time, validation area size, angle, height, distance.
You should be sitting in a chair with your back straight. Works on Quest 1 and 2.
