This is a game changer at my house. Kids have been playing it non stop so I had to make a video. A bit of a task to set it up, but once completed it runs great!

You need to install using sidequest but you do require a Microsoft account that owns Minecraft Java Edition so it's not completely free. Yes, the quest installment is free through SideQuest but you need to own Minecraft (Java Edition) through your own Microsoft account.

I think that will need to be an update down the road. I don't think you can remove that just yet. I tried and didn't find any solution.

From their discord:

Open your Singleplayer world
Go to the Pause Menu
Press "Open to LAN"
Optionally, re-open the Singleplayer world to close the LAN connection

2nd more permanent solution:

Go to .minecraft folder and open options.txt
Find "tutorialStep:"
Change it to "tutorialStep:none"
