In 2017, eleven of us flew across the Pacific to meet with my grandmother, Ama. Inspired by her story, we saw an opportunity to use immersive media to help her realize this dream.

‘Ama’s Momento’ premiered on May 2019 at the LA Asian Pacific Film Festival hosted by the Japanese American National Museum.In October 2019, Ama’s Momento had another exhibit at IndieCade where we won the Location Based and Live Action Award. These exhibition brought Ama’s lifelong pursuit closer to its realization.
