Massive improvement on Shadow Alpha. This is 100% workable and quick in terms of login and updating the shadow PC. The games run (i used onward) worked well and looked solid. This is a great option to have - however I would say that it does pale in comparison to Virtual Desktop. VD now has Synchronous Spacewarp and AMD’s Contrast Adaptive Sharpening. VD has a load of options / tools and frequently updating to a level that Oculus / Meta can’t match yet with airlink. VD looked and run far sharper, faster, and lower latency. Things looked a bit ‘bigger’ in shadow than I was used to. I do think that Shadow would do well to recommend / support / collaborate with Virtual Desktop for VR and get their devs focused their already great Windows / Mac / Android tools and keep tuning / upgrading their infra. I can understand why they need their own app however for those who may not want to fork out on VD.
added - few days after posting this, the virtual desktop was down, so was great to have the shadow VR working. As said, its solid and worked great for me.
