*Important information:*
Our first release does not include multi-user functionality, because we still need a bit of time to figure out a good way to give public access without creating too much of a maintenance cost. But stay tuned for an update by the end of this year!
The Basics
Train in virtual reality - have fun while learning new procedures. This is our example of a training application, where you can experience what the whole fuzz about VR as a new, innovative approach to teach and learn is all about.
See for yourself that self-paced learning can be fun - and thanks to standalone headset support - super easy to setup and run.
The look behind the curtain
AssemblyVR is not just a showcase of our cute MedBot - it is also a test case for several technologies, which we developed in-house over the last couple of years. This includes a flexible, efficient step manager which does all the wiring in the background. Thanks to this system, we are able to create training procedures inside the unity editor without coding and it also provides a solid bridge to the world of process planning in which our clients live.
The whole training works with online multiplayer - a future version on SideQuest will showcase that for public usage. Our first release does not include multi-user functionality, because we still need a bit of time to figure out a good way to give public access without creating too much of a maintenance cost. But stay tuned for an update by the end of this year!
How to use it
Install AssenblyVR on either your Oculus Quest 1 or Quest 2!
The training starts with a short introduction and avatar selection. While the avatars are not important for single user training, they are already included for the upcoming multiplayer functionality.
The training comes with full spoken introductions, context highlights and written step descriptions. However you want to find your way through it, is up to you. We tried to provide as much help, as we could.
There's an option menu in-game, which you can open by pressing either B or the Menu-Button on your controllers. This lets you restart the process or skip/rewind training steps.
Our robot brain couldn't find anything for you here.
Either it needs an oil bath or nothing is matching your search!
