Turner Station has been home to an amazing array of achievers. Military heroes, jazz greats, athletes, educators, a Congressmen, an astronaut and many more notables. The Nature Conservancy partnered with Virtual Planet Technologies to develop this virtual reality experience that would bring the projected extent and impacts of sea level rise to the park to life. The goal of the project was to use the technology to start a conversation with the community about the projected impacts of sea level rise and work together to create an adaptation pathway, identifying where and how nature-based solutions can reduce current and future risk and impacts.
