VR documentary 2024 (Norwegian language).
In the VR experience "Shadow of War," 92 year old time witness Erik Kvaal shares memories from his childhood in Bodø during World War II. This documentary VR experience bring us back to events related to the bombing of Bodø in 1940 and the sinking of the express liner DS Prinsesse Ragnhild that same year.

The VR experience employs a drawn and animated style in conjunction with an ambisonic soundscape. «Shadow of War» is produced at the Department of Design, Faculty of Art, Music and Design, University of Bergen, Norway, and is a part of the larger research project «Inside the Narrative,» led by Torkell Bernsen and Gustav Kvaal.
