My first impressions are very positive. The new Battle Royale VR game for Meta Quest 3/Quest 2/Quest Pro ticks most of the right boxes when it comes to gunplay, sound effects, movement mechanics, weapon variety, relatively fast matchmaking (~1 minute), relatively short play sessions (good for VR),voice comm, play in squad and with friends, great in-game features and items, slick movement, weapons look great, up to 60 players in a map, nice tutorial to get you going fast, no online issues at launch, rewarding gameplay and smooth gameplay (no lags, frame drops, etc.)
However, there are things that annoyed me, waiting for your team to get you back into the game when you died (even just not to lose the rewards) is a chore in VR. I don't want to wait like several minutes spectating while wearing my headset on. Visuals on the Quest version is kind of meh, although I prefer good frame rates over visuals, and it runs great.
Getting items feels clunky and I felt I need to always aim with my hand several times until I get it right, weird. There were some rendering issues. I don't think there is option to go solo in a squad, which is a bummer (basically you have to play with others; might be a positive for some).
Overall, my first impressions are highly positive, and the game feels amazing to play, it runs super smooth on the Quest 3 and sound incredible. You really feel the punch and weight of weapons. It's one of those games that I'll keep on the quest to play quick sessions during the week and no doubt one of the best battles royale games in virtual reality, let along for Meta Quest and I highly recommend it. It's also available on Steam just so you know, which I haven't tried (hopefully prettier visuals).
