Sign Talker is a practical and flexible VR app designed for anyone interested in learning or using using Sign Language Alphabet, as well as offering a solution for people with speech impairments. Available for Quest 3 headsets, it starts with the English alphabet(мore alphabets will be added soon) and allows users to assign any gesture of their choice to each letter. This personalized approach means you can use gestures from existing sign language alphabets or create your own that are most memorable or meaningful to you.
You can bind up to 3 different letters per sign(at early access stage). The app is not only useful for people with speech impairments, but also serves as a great tool for anyone learning sign language. By using intuitive user-defined gestures, the learning experience becomes more fun and personalized.
The built-in voice engine will allow you to pronounce text typed with gestures. (only 1 voice is available in the demo, many more voices will be added in the near future)
Personalized Gestures: Assign gestures to the letters you like.
Universal Communication: Associate one gesture with three different letters for effective communication.
Voice Engine: A valuable resource for people with speech problems.
Learning Tool: Good for those learning sign language.
Inclusive communication: Bridging the gap between gestures and spoken language.
Sign Talker was developed and tested only on Quest 3, I cannot guarantee that it will work on Quest 2, at least at the early access stage.
