Super Screen offers VR users a unique and immersive viewing experience. This application creates virtual environments such as cinemas and classrooms within VR, offering users a mixed reality (MR) experience that blends the virtual and real worlds. It supports various video formats including 2D, 3D, 180-degree, and 360-degree videos, and can play videos in resolutions up to 8K, ensuring an ultimate visual experience. Users can also conveniently share media files from computers within the same local area network to their VR devices. The new version supports mainstream video format playback.

Stream from your PC to your to headset. PC client supports screen casting to Quest devices. A notable feature of Super Screen is its multi-platform support, including PC operating systems like Windows and Mac, allowing users to stream video content from their PCs to the super screen in their VR device. This cross-platform capability makes Super Screen suitable not just for entertainment purposes, like watching movies, but also for educational and business environments, such as virtual classrooms and meeting rooms. In education, it offers students a more immersive learning experience; in business, it can be used for virtual meetings, providing a more interactive and immersive meeting experience. Streaming support for the Linux platform is currently under development and will be available in future versions. 0.5.3 Update:

  1. Add the automatic 3D type detection option in the settings. Because it consumes a certain amount of performance, it is temporarily turned off by default and needs to be turned on manually. According to my local resources, more than 80% of SBS/TAB video pictures can be directly recognized successfully.

  2. The playback recording function has been enhanced to automatically save the playback progress so that you can continue watching directly next time.

  3. Subtitle file display and management are optimized to provide more flexible subtitle selection and hiding functions.

  4. Fixed some issues that caused crashes and improved the stability of the application.

  3. Say goodbye to unclear fonts and jitter! We've fixed the issue, ensuring a clear and smooth viewing experience.

  4. We've addressed the problem of blurry HD 360 video playback, so you can now enjoy high-quality content without any blurriness.

  5. In this update, we've also introduced preliminary support for identifying film source types by file name. This will help you quickly identify the type of film you're watching.

Important Notes:

  1. Ensure that your computer and VR device are on the same local network. and that the Quest is on a 5 GHz Wi-Fi network.

  2. The sharing experience may vary depending on the performance of different VR devices. Stay updated with software updates for the latest features and performance improvements.

  3. Platform support: Currently tested on window10/11, mac M1/M2 (10.14+), more system versions need to be verified

How to Stream PC Screen to Quest headset

  1. Install SuperScreen Desktop Client to your PC To get it, click the button below. Support Windows、Mac

  2. Run SuperScreen.exe(Win) or SuperScreen App(Mac) This file was just downloaded in Step #1. No installation required, click to run directly.

  3. Allow network access The first time you run the SuperScreen PC app, Windows will ask if the app should be allowed to communicate on your network. Choose to Allow Access.

  4. Allow screen recording permission (Mac platform only) Go to System Settings->Privacy and Security->Screen Recording, enable Super Screen permission.

  5. Run SuperScreen on your Quest In VR, your desktop screen will be displayed in the remote desktop tab list, click to connect successfully
