ok! ive put over 13+ hours into this game. im going to write a proper review going into all aspects of what i like, what i think could be added, and what i didnt like!
1 what i liked
the game has a really nice replay-ability to it, the fact that all dungeons / mazes are randomly generated makes the game SO much more fun. also the fact that weapons youve bought and unlocked can be thrown into the ones you randomly get at the start.
the idea of being able to upgrade your weapon by blessing it is also a really cool concept and incentivises the usage of multiple weapons as some are better with one enchantment rather than another!
the stabbing is nice and crisp and dismemberment makes it feel a whole lot more realistic and fun! as weird as that sounds...
the weapons you can get and use are at least 20+ different unique and altered versions of weapons to use!
and finally, the enemy attacks feel proper, and also make it feel like your fighting a worthy opponet who knows what their doing!
2 what could be added!
more customization to armor should be added! such as colors, patterns, emblems, size, shape, ect.
and of course more weapons from all over the world as-well just to give the player more options!
more enemys and a proper open / forested map and possibly a "free roam" gamemode that could be online and specailize in online practicing where people could hire others for gold to teach them! however proper players! also there needs to be a report and a mod online for whoever made the server to insure scams dont happen. also a wanted area for players who have been reported numerous time for scamming by multiple people and at different times so that people could just look someones name up and check credibility!
also a coliseum gamemode where players can face off in duels online while others could spectate and bet gold! also! if a player has been banned or reported and wanted and ends up getting banned they can earn freedom by fighting for fame in the coliseum like a real gladiator would! and if they did it again the just perm ban the :/
3 what i dont like
I. hate. slashing. its feels like im hitting them with a wet noodle. simply leaving a scratch on them unless hit vertically on the head isnt satisfying. dismemberment of limbs and heads are satisfying! but i think that body parts should over time become incapacitated when struck (kind of like how they do in bone works)
also the storm pistol. it feels so out of place and i could see being perfectly fine with just sandbox (like in iron lights) but being able to use it in the maze and dungeons doesnt feel right. its not even like its over powered its just that whenever im in a maze and i see it, it kills the immersion.
also, this is a bit picky but when a dead opponet is stabbed (or even a live one!) the weapon left in them falls out. it should stay and only fall out if logically affected by gravity. as, bleeding. it needs to be a thing. a wounded enemy should slowly bleed from damaged areas (like the bleed dagger). it shouldnt be much, only about 1 tick of damage. but it would make it feel like your enemys truly hurt.
the game tends to be truly lonely in all honesty. multiplayer needs to be added ASAP between friends or random queue
and finally last and certainly least is parkour. its weird and clunky. the running and swinging your arms to jump higher is perfectly fine! but the weird little bunny tap you have to do to surfaces to push yourself is un realiable and plain annoying. either wooden objects should be climbable and utilized for parkour, or this feature should be modified or scraped.
over all id rate this game a solid 4 stars out of 5 and for more accurate ratings an 8 out of 10 OR a 86 out of 100 or and 867 out of 1000. i really enjoy it and would be happy to buy th full version as long as these are fixed and added for 30+ dollars! ill continue to support and comment on my thoughts of future updates! until next time, - in-sanity 1/2/2022
