Space Pilot Alliance is a space flight sim made for the Oculus Quest. Gameplay involves piloting your spaceship (using motion controls/virtual flightstick) and ejecting from your ship to explore planet surfaces or underground bunkers with your blaster and grappling hook combo.

You begin as a pilot for the Federal Alliance.

There are 4 main game modes:

EXPLORE - GALAXY AT WAR

• Use your warp drive to explore the galaxy, land on different planets and assist your army to colonize different sectors of space. Help your armada fend off attacks from the 5 other alien species that are fighting for control over the same planets, and grow to become become the dominant force in the galaxy. This is the main mode of the game, and it includes ship upgrade vendors, ion bombs, melee weapon options, underground bunkers, and a many other features. Gameplay is always randomized, planets are procedurally created, so each game will lead to new experiences.

DEVELOP - CAMPAIGN

• short series of dogfighting missions for each of the 5 different alien races. Complete the campaign to unlock access to different types of spaceship that you can pilot, including newtonian ships (6dof, move in all directions) or teleportation-based flight mechanics.

FIGHT - QUICK MATCH

• build your home army, and setup the enemy team before diving into the action. Make strategic decisions and use all the different game mechanics to help your squad of fighters overpower the enemy team. Quick Match also includes 'Observer mode', so you can just setup two large armies and watch the massive ai space battles unfold in your living room.

LEARN - TUTORIALS

• a series of 12 lessons that introduce the core mechanics of the game.

Space Pilot Alliance features 6 different types of spacecraft that you can unlock and pilot, each with its own control style and special abilities:

Yellow (Cyclex) Fast, lightweight ships armed with an extra heavy laser cannon.

White (Andross) Uses a newtonian physics model for control, ship can move in all directions.

Blue (Alliance) The default ship you use at the start of the game.

Green (Darkforce) Heavily armed ship with accelerated rapid cannons.

Orange (Psyonic) Unique teleportation-based spacecraft.

Red (Star Force) Sleek, faster version of the Alliance default ship

The game also includes a variety of handheld weapons, including a shotgun, sniper rifle, grenade launcher, saber and more. These weapons can be purchased from pirate ship vendors, or found hidden in different parts of galaxy.
