If you could not find it via MTurk, you could either contact us via venlabcrew@gmail.com or finish the form on https://brown.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8HfdQ4u6SGyCztP and email us your ID and data directly, we will send you Amazon gift card link via email. We only provide the first 20 participants the compensation and when we receive enough data, the experiment will end with the description updated. We are appreciated that you send us your data in 48 hours after the download to make sure your compensation.

The experiment is about choosing an exit from two exits in a tunnel evcuation. Some added information will be added around both exits, and you choose the one you think as the safest.

Make sure your quest stay in developer mode. Download our experiment by clicking on the “Install Latest” button.” After downloading the file from your PC, stay in Sidequest, click the icon on the top right called currently installed apps. The icon is somehow like 3*3 boxes. Find our application: Tunnel Evacuation, and click its setting icon on the right. You will see Permissions in the bottom right saying Manage permissions for this app. Choose yes for both read and writing external storage!!! The screenshot is enclosed. The experiment could be found from the Quest from library/unknown soureces, click the Tunnel Evacuation.

After finishing the experiment, please upload the data file to your PC with a USB-C cable. Before uploading, please restart your quest. After the restart, you could find your data under the folder: Quest/Internal shared storage/UE4Game/TunnelEvacuation/TunnelEvacuation/Saved/SavedGames. The name of the data is Data.sav. Please rename the file with your MTurk ID but do not change the format. If you have problems in finding MTurk, we suggest you email us before your experiment and we will give you an ID manually.

Please email the datafile as an attachment to venlabcrew@gmail.com. Please provide (i) your MTurk ID# for payment, and (ii) your age, sex, and race for the funding agency. After we receive your datafile and confirm it is valid, we will approve your payment on MTurk. Otherwise, we will reject your payment if we do not receive your datafile within 14 days.
