The Liberation Army of South Vietnam (referred to as the Liberation Army or Liberation Army), also known as the Armed Forces for the Liberation of South Vietnam, was established on the basis of unifying the armed forces established by the Communist Party of Vietnam. Communists were established in the South, including forces that stayed behind and did not gather, new forces that joined on the spot and forces that had gathered to return to the South to operate.
